Molweni. (Hello in Xosha)

UPDATED APRIL 2025

 Hello,

It's been a while, it's been a month and a half since I've been back home ONE whole month. Time flies! Well where are my manners? How are you? How is your life? I hope its great, thank you for reading my blog especially you mum my one and only reader haha.

Well so what was it like? How was it? Two questions that are the same just worded differently but two questions I've heard a million times over and the only answer I seem to give a million times over is "It was Great thank you." My answer is always vague, mainly because I don't know how to respond to such a broad question. For nearly three months of my life I lived in the middle of nowhere, seriously who even knows where Mbokotwana is? Apart from the few hundred people that live there.

Mbokotwana is a lovely small Rural area? Village? I'm not too sure but no one word can describe it, it is just outside of Tsolo town and a few miles from Qumbu town. Its got 6/7 neighbouring 'villages' made up of a few hundred people. And it has the most lovely views as well as the worst plumbing system.

In Mbokotwana I lived with three other girls, Louise (later renamed 'Lewis'), Phumla and Musa. There where two boys in my team, Mo and Ncedo ( his name sounds different from how you are probably pronouncing it). This was my family, my South African Mbokotwana family!

The six of us went through hell and back on placement but we remained a family, these people are honestly amazing, Ive had some of my favourite memories with them and I would not trade them for any other team. Sorry not sorry.

Well that's an intro into my family and my town I guess I shall tell you some stories and talk about some things I did in the community. I will dedicate a few posts to them so don't you worry you shall hear all about it.

Peace and love
